Description

We have for sale a pair of early 19th-century English plates with hand-painted landscapes and decorative gilt borders filled with hand-painted flowers. Both plates are footed and form a shallow bowl, the centers filled with lovely landscapes featuring a waterfall in one and a castle or abbey ruin in the other.

• Circa 1815
• Pattern number 8212
• Very good condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is some crazing, particularly on the one with the abbey ruins where the crazing is discoloured in spots. – Please see photos.

• About 9.50 inches in diameter
• About 3.25 inches tall
