French Old Paris Porcelain Figural Candlestick-Girl with Goose Swan Gilt – Vieux Paris

We have a lovely French Old Paris Porcelain Figural Candlestick for sale. Early to mid-19th century, in the style of Jacob Petit, the figure in unglazed hand-painted bisque depicting a girl with a goose or swan backed by a baroque scrolled and gilt candlestick.

Old Paris or Vieux Paris is a loose term applied to wares made in and around Paris from the late 18th century up to the 1870s. Larger factories may have signed their wares or produced blanks for other, smaller shops to paint, but many pieces were unmarked.

• Most likely made around 1830-60
• Made in France
• Very Good condition – the feet of the goose are missing, and the candlestick itself has a lean to it, was manufactured this way. – Please see photos.
