Description
This item is a 19th-century pressed metal cachou, or breath freshener container. The 1870s box is stamped with the profile of Prince Albert and features the inscription: “HRH Prince Albert’s Cachou Aromatise Prepared by Thomas Jackson.” On the reverse side, it reads: “Sweeten the breath, refresh the mouth after smoking, Medicine & Co.”
Dimensions and Condition:
Although the mints are absent, the antique tin is in very good condition overall. It measures 1.50 inches in diameter. For a more detailed assessment of its condition, please refer to the accompanying photographs.
